摘要:
在系统回溯学者对社区的称谓、叙述、认识、论说和界定的基础上，结合当代社会条件的变迁，对社区进行重新定义。从燕京学派社区概念引入之起，梳理了该概念在中国出现、翻译和采纳的过程，以及中国语源与古代典籍中“社区”的含义。就社区概念在西方的起源、传播和变迁进行回顾，并分析了当代社区的性质和形式。在中国社会学恢复以后社区概念的复兴、争议和界定考察的基础上，分析了当代社区含义的拓展，社区概念的历史流变与社会变迁的过程相互交织。最后，探讨了符合当下社区实际状况的定义，并提出四点对中国自主知识生产的启示。
Abstract:
On the basis of scholars′ naming, narratives, perceptions, discourses and definitions of community, this paper redefines community in light of changing social conditions in contemporary times with implications for independent knowledge production. Firstly, starting from the introduction of the concept of community in the Yenching School, the authors summarize the process of the concept′s emergence, translation and adoption in China, as well as its meaning in Chinese etymology and ancient texts. It then reviews the origins, spread and changes of the concept of community in the West, and analyzes the nature and forms of contemporary communities. The paper reviews the revival, controversy of the concept of community and its definition after the restoration of Chinese sociology, and analyzes the expansion of the meaning of contemporary community. The concept of community is constantly changing in history, and social change is the most important and direct influencing factor. Finally, the paper provides a definition that is in line with the actual situation of contemporary community. This definition holds important theoretical and practical significance for community organization, governance and construction in the process of the Chinese-style modernization and development.
